Distribution of Cases Among Hospitals

 In 2003, 25% of the cases were performed at a hospital which did 2 or fewer inpatient cases. In 2001, 25% of the cases were performed at a hospital which did 2 or fewer inpatient cases. In 1999, 25% were done at a hospital with 2 or fewer cases. In 1998, 25% of the cases were performed at a hospital which did 3 or fewer inpatient cases.  

In
2003, 50% of the cases were performed at a hospital which did 7 or fewer inpatient cases. In 2001, 50% of the cases were performed at a hospital which did 6 or fewer inpatient cases. In 1999, 50% were done at a hospital with 5 or fewer. In 1998, 50% of the cases were performed at a hospital which did 6 or fewer inpatient cases.  

In
2003, 75% of the cases were performed at a hospital which did 18 or fewer inpatient cases. In 2001, 75% of the cases were performed at a hospital which did 16 or fewer inpatient cases. In 1999, 75% were done at a hospital with 12 or fewer.  In 1998, 75% of the cases were performed at a hospital which did 15 or fewer inpatient cases.

In
2003, the maximum number of cases done at an individual hospital  was 263. In 2001, the maximum number of cases done at an individual hospital  was 345. In 1999, the maximum number of cases done at an individual hospital  was 316. In 1998, the maximum number of cases done at an individual hospital  was 320.
