has calculated the volume
of lung cancer surgery done by individual hospitals in California in
1998. We have
included the Office's lung cancer hospital information on this site.
The data shows the following:
25%
of the cases were performed at a hospital which did 2 inpatient case in
1998.
50%
of the cases were performed at a hospital which did 5 or fewer inpatient
cases in 1998.
75%
of the cases were performed at a hospital which did 14 or fewer
inpatient cases in 1998.
The
maximum number of cases done at an individual hospital in 1998 was 79.
